Bus Bought!

Bus Project : Close-Out

A major aim of the immediate past Alumni tenure was to coordinate efforts aimed at procuring new wheels for the student fellowship, both as a gesture of assistance and as a means of encouragement and solidarity.

Brethren started to give what they could even before the Reunion, and finally at the Reunion, we decided to give the effort one final PUSH between November and December 2005. Pledges were made and we have to thank you for giving to the Lord.

True to our unified aim, on December 31, 2005, a joint team of students and alumni went shopping. By then over 70% of brethren had sent in their pledges, some of us who were not at the Reunion gave their bit, and the balance was extracted from the Alumni account with the aim of replacing such when other brethren donate.

The final summary of this is that for a sum of just over N1.1 million in total, the ECU Student Fellowship now has a bus courtesy of ECU Alumni. It is a testimony of the grace of God and the willing hearts of all.

Donations ranged from N500 to the hundreds of thousands, and this proves once again that our unifying factor is not success, geographical location, subgroup or fanaticism - it is a willingness to give what we have to stand up for Christ and encourage an upcoming generation.

God bless you real good!

LONDON Re-Union Holds

The London Re-Union of ECU Alumni held as scheduled and it was a great event. Details are being expected from yonder, but I know someone who was there and says 'twas great.

Copies of Reunion CDs and Magazine were available - and for all who missed the Reunion, WATCH THIS SPACE, because the Conference Magazine would be sent to you in batches over the next few weeks.

I believe that you will be blessed, and it will fire up a desire to be there next time....
