Greetings in Jesus' name!
How are you, your home and your family? Fine, we believe. Reunion 2001 has come and gone, but its fruits will stand tall for all eternity. Graced by almost 150 alumni and a full house of students, the event was a landmark for many. While thanking and rejoicing with all who were there, we wish to remind everyone that chapter fellowships take place in many states. Find out yours - or start one.
Rev. Mike Oye was the minister for the Reunion, and he took a three-part talk on the theme, 'Different times, Same faith'. A seminar on professional development, various interactive sessions, testimonies and an executive family session also took place. In the process of the Reunion, 2 books written by ECU alumni were launched successfully.
A result of the event is a resolve to keep the ECU Alumni Fellowship soaring, and to this effect, meeting dates and times for each chapter will be mailed to alumni very soon. As was generally agreed, 'the foundation of the abilities that make us all busy today was made in ECU.'
Everyone that was around had a great time and, in the words of one, "Even if the next Reunion holds at Maiduguri, I will be there." We heartily concur!
At the executive session, the Alumni Executive were unanimously re-elected into office for another term of two years, and three other executive posts were filled. These are:
Fin. Sec. Mrs. Funke Bogunjoko
Asst. Reunion Coordinator. Bro. Niran Oluwaranti
Asst. Public Relations' Officer Mrs. Wunmi Sanusi
Another remarkable election was that of Dr. Ayo
Soyoye as the new Alumni Coordinator [Ile-Ife]
Reunion 2003 is to hold by the grace of God on 24 - 26 OCTOBER, 2003.
We will be there - as alumni!
Have a nice day
